Innovative art curator Kontempo launched the first show of a new quarterly series at Novo NYC on Thursday, April 25 in collaboration with sponsor The 7th Magazine. The series, called “Prolific Minds,” reflects the talents of unique and emerging artists curated by the company. The first of the series, “Prolific Minds, Vol. 1” showcased the works of seven artists: Adam Zoltowski, Carlos RM, Evan Ishmael, Ilgar Tali, M. Clark, Suzanne Scott, and Temel Nal. True to their calling to “Invest in Imagination”, these seven artists chosen by Kontempo are the vanguard of imaginative methods and media.
Kontempo, founded by entrepreneurs Ilgar Talibov and Steven Torrisi, propels artists’ careers and transforms interiors. Their mission is to inspire the next generation of art collectors and act as a vehicle to foster creative minds to beautiful pieces of art. By investing in imagination, Kontempo allows the artist to focus on their craft without the distraction of seeking exposure.
Thursday’s show highlighted the success of this new method of art curation. Attendees were invited to explore pieces by each artist, as well as indulge in refreshments provided by Baby Brasa, Hiatus, and Bodegas Vinicola Real. As part of their unique approach to e-commerce, each artist’s work came with a QR code accessing Kontempo’s website for purchase. Another part of their approach is social responsibility. Five percent of each and every sale of the artwork is donated to 100 For All, a charity that provides clean water filtration to communities most in need.
“Prolific Minds, Vol. 1” ran from Thursday, April 25 to Saturday, April 27 in Novo NYC’s beautiful pop-up gallery space. Artists’ pieces from the show are also able to view and purchase on the website of Kontempo.
